About Dr. Asha
Leadership, Culture, and Change—Grounded in Research and Practice

My Approach
I’m Dr. Asha Gipson (Addison), an organizational psychologist and executive coach working at the intersection of leadership, organizational culture, and change. I support senior leaders, leadership teams, and organizations navigating growth, transition, and increasing complexity—bringing evidence-based insight, practical judgment, and disciplined delivery to work where clarity, alignment, and follow-through matter most.
I’m a scholar–practitioner by training and by choice. I hold a Ph.D. in Social–Organizational Psychology and have spent over a decade working across research, teaching, consulting, and applied leadership development. My work bridges academic rigor and real-world application—translating research into practical guidance leaders can actually use.
In addition to my consulting and advisory work, I’m a founder and co-founder of mission-driven businesses, including a global e-commerce brand. Building and scaling organizations firsthand has shaped how I approach leadership and culture—not as abstract concepts, but as lived systems with real constraints. This entrepreneurial lens allows me to work fluently across strategy, operations, and human dynamics, particularly in environments where growth, accountability, and inclusion must coexist.

What I Focus On
I work directly with organizations and leaders, and I also partner with consulting and advisory firms through white-label and co-branded delivery. My work centers on leadership effectiveness, executive judgment, and organizational alignment. I regularly support organizations through:
- Executive coaching and leader development
- Leadership assessment and selection
- 360 feedback and development planning
- Team effectiveness and alignment
- Change and transition support
Experience, Teaching, and Scholarship
My background includes:
- Peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in leadership and organizational change
- Co-editing scholarly volumes on organizational change and leadership thinkers
- Teaching industrial–organizational psychology, group dynamics, and leadership at the collegiate and graduate levels
- Applied work across private, public, and nonprofit sectors, including global and cross-functional teams
I’ve held academic and practitioner roles through institutions such as Teachers College, Columbia University, and through domestic and international partnerships, bringing depth and discernment into every engagement.
My work is informed by ongoing scholarship in leadership, organizational change, and systems thinking.
In addition to consulting and advisory work, I occasionally teach and guest lecture on leadership, organizational psychology, and change. Teaching engagements are selectively accepted and designed for executive, graduate, or professional audiences. Teaching and guest instruction inquiries can be submitted through the contact page.

A Thoughtful Way Forward
I work best with leaders and partners who value clarity, thoughtful inquiry, and well-scoped work.
If you’re exploring a potential engagement—or interested in partnership delivery—I welcome a conversation to assess fit and next steps.
